Hi everyone, hope you're all 'as well as can be expected'
Just had results of my 1st retinopathy test and don't know whether I should worry or not!!
right eye....no retinopathy or maculopathy
left eye.....R1.2 moderate background diabetic retinopathy;no maculopathy

Any clues pls??

Thanks,Sandy:confused:

Hi Sandy, what does it say about when you need to be seen again? I had the same as you and did get referred to the eye hospital, but that was because it was close to the macula. However, after 6-monthly screening at the hospital they've decided it isn't getting worse and I haven't needed any treatment for it. From the sounds of it, you don't need treatment either. The bast thing you can do is to try to keep good control of your levels and also keep an eye on your blood pressure 🙂

Ah, that's good news then 🙂 It's quite possible that it won't get any worse and may even improve if you are able to take good care of yourself and manage your diabetes well 🙂 How are things going?
