Please keep your fingers crossed for my hospital eye appointment tomorrow. Despite me trying hard my levels haven't been great recently and I've been getting a strange sensation in my left eye some mornings when it has gone blurry. Hopefully it's just me being tired but if I hadn't got tomorrow's appointment I would have gone to eye casualty because half the times I've had this sensation before it has been a new problem. I'm hoping that tomorrow it will be ok 🙂

Hope it all goes well today. X

Hope it all goes well AJ. I’m needing cataract surgery soon. Eyes are such a worry 😉

Thank you so much everyone. I spent too much of yesterday worrying about the appointment but then curled up in the evening with a book on my Kindle and glass of bubbles and felt much better. The appointment is at 11.15 today - they have some right numptie "doctors" in this clinic so it should be interesting!! I've even had one before miss a potential bleed that Moorfields had told me about only the day before. I just hope that the diabetes retinopathy has stayed as stable as it has been - especially now when playing "space invaders" (the visual field test) a quarter of my left eye is literally full of black dots as well as the central vision in that eye being useless - but neither of those are thought to be because of the diabetes. Anyhow I am rambling, I will let you know how I get on after the eye drops have worn off.

I hope that the cataract surgery goes well when you need it Amigo. I remember when I was due to have mine done I was very scared - but I had a general anaesthetic each time (I had both eyes done) and there were no problems at all and no pain or vision change. I hope it is as straightforward for you xx

Thanks Victor I completely agree with you. I have no hesitation with going straight to eye casualty, at one point they all knew who I was - I wasn't going more than I should but my optician has said that if I have any doubts I should go straight to eye casualty. At my last Moorfields appointment I was told that my eyes are complicated!!

Thinking of you and hope the appointment goes well at 11 30, and that you have one of the better doctors and everything is stable. Good luck.

Good luck with your appointment today, AJ, I hope it goes well.

Thank you everyone. Well my glaucoma may be a pain but the retinal consultant doesn't want to see me for nine months!!!!!!! He said that the back of my eyes are good :D I'm going home now for celebratory champagne and a chocolate eclair 🙂
