Well, it has come and gone and was lovely. For those of you who are interested, I threw caution to the wind. Ate three pastries and three (crustless) sandwiches. After this feast we had a walk by the Thames and then the moment of truth. I tested myself and was returned a 6.6. Yippee. Although bit of a misnomer for me to call it Afternoon Tea, I don't drink tea... they were very accommodating and provided coffee.

Phew! When I saw your original post I thought about throwing in a note of caution because I know that pastries and cakes would be a bad idea for me. Glad I didn't, you had a great time and found out something new about what your body can cope with. Win all round it seems to me!

Thanks. But I won't be doing it again. Just in case ...
