Relationship to Diabetes
HCP/Researcher
Hi Everyone,

I am a Masters student who is carrying out research on how health information seeking habits, (seeking information about health related subjects), creates or changes health behaviours (the self management of your own health) in people with type two Diabetes.

If you are interested in taking part, please copy and paste this link into your browser : https://kcnln4wz55z.typeform.com/to/GA9YGJMR

All your answers are confidential. The questionnaire does not ask for any person identifiable data.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Just done it. It was longer and took a bit more time than I expected but it was also more thorough than I expected.

Unless I misread, the ast series of questions asks you to make blanket assessments about information on T2D available on the Web - is it accurate, accessible etc etc. But surely the answer in each case is that some of it is good & some of it isn't? So I just answered "Don't know/unsure" to each of those.

Hi @custardandrubarbdrops. As @Eddy Edson has already commented, I found the questions regarding information available on the web to be far too general. There is a lot of information out there and it is provided in different formats, styles and expects different levels of understanding in the reader. So, like Eddy, I had to answer a lot with "Don't know/unsure", except where I felt that all web info amounted to "Agree" or "Disagree".
I also found it difficult saying how often I did "internet searches for information". I access this forum several times a week, and then some posts may lead me to visit websites, or may themselves provide me with information. I found quantifying that difficult. By the way, I don't consider this forum to be "Social Media" so I said "no" to that question... but then answered elsewhere that I found information from peers useful.
I hope you find this feedback useful.... ...I don't envy you having to design such a questionnaire!
Cheers, Nick

I tried to help - but I don't search the internet so there were no more questions for me - but I am putting information onto the internet daily and I do make some choices so I can write from experience rather than opinion.

I agree. We are most of us able to differentiate between helpful and non helpful information. Questionnaires force you to tick what they decide is relevant.
