Hmm - how many are 'Active' members though !

Well, people come and go, but we range from between 100-200 people logging in each day (not including spammers!), and around 500-600 different logins monthly. Many members may just read and not log in each time. We have banned 2,692 who were not genuine members (spammers/SEO types).

LOL - Terry had a 'good night' in January, nearly 300 potentials either blocked by forum ban triggers or manually banned by Mods/Admin between midnight and 01.30 alone! :D

One of em was actually literally trying to post Spam just as he banned them. He was like the cat who got the cream!

Ha! Done that a few times - I like to imagine the look on their faces as all their efforts come to nought! They are the absolute scourge of forums :(

Was just thinking, both this forum and another UK diabetes one (another non-profit no adverts one, but not connected with DUK) I infest are administrated by people well over 30.
I suppose that's a demographic issue - statistically, if you're using a diabetes forum, you're likely to have diabetes and probability therefore suggests you're probably over 40 and have T2 because that's who make up the majority of people with D.
Deus

Oddly both of us who started "the other forum" are T1s and both diagnosed in later life.

The membership number of DSF UK is falsely low, because 4 years in we had to ditch the old forum software as it was no longer supported and unfortunately we couldn't find a way of transferring it to new software, so we started again.... prior to that there were a few thousand more members. The archive forum is still there to consult though.

Hi Steff

I enjoyed it: love being interviewed for research, I get to expound on my views for minutes on end with someone writing down and taking notice of everything I say :0)

Gillian was interesting to talk to, too.....

Did you meet in the end?
