Got given a leaflet today at the hospital for

HELP DiaBEATes

It is NHS National Institute for Health Research being done by NIHR clinical research network

I have registered online and am waiting to be contacted to see what it is about and if I want to be involved.

Anyone else heard of or involved in this research ?

I contacted them and got the info for applying.

It's for a small number of groups to steer policy and raise local awareness of issues, etc.

Would take a fair bit of time for the local stuff and involves a few trips to London each year for conferences, including ability to speak to an audience.

Didn't fancy it myself but would suit a confident person who enjoys being involved in local & national groups.
