Research Advertisement: South Asian People’s Perceptions of Health Treatment for Type 2 Diabetes

Are you a South Asian over the age of 18, who has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and want to voice your opinion about your healthcare treatment?

As part of my Postgraduate degree I am required to write a dissertation which involves me carrying out my own research. My research will be looking at South Asians diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and their perception on the healthcare treatment they receive. The aim of this study is to find out how South Asians view their diabetes treatment, whether there are any challenges they face when it comes to treatment and if there are, highlight how treatment can be improved.

This study will be conducted in English, Punjabi and Urdu. You can choose which language you feel most comfortable with having the interview carried out in.

I am looking to recruit South Asians above the age of 18 to take part in my study.

The interviews will take approximately 30 minutes and will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.

If there are any other questions you would like to ask before deciding to take part or are interested in taking part, I would be really interested in hearing from you, please email me at summayah2.zafar@live.uwe.ac.uk
