Morning All

Well had 4 hours at Moorfields yesterday had all the Glaucoma checks. Never had so many things, drops etc inserted in to my eye, at one time I looked like the devil! Well, I am pleased to report that I do not have Glaucoma - but I do have high pressure in my left eye which needs treatment, thankfully the right eye is border line and does not need any treatment. It was eye drops for life or Selective Laser Treatment - which I have opted for and can last up to 5 years. It was intense yesterday and very scary but it was worth it.

Pleased to hear it was not Glaucoma. When will you get your Laser Treatment?

Ooh, I'm very squeamish about eyeballs so respect! 😱 All the best for your upcoming treatment, @Billychick, I'm sure it will be all that you hope for 🙂

Glad it wasnt glaucoma :D I will wait with baited breath to hear how the laser treatment is for you, my eye pressure is a little high but they didn’t want to do anything until I had my bg lower so I go back in June for a review. The idea of having laser treatment on my eyes makes my toes curl but people I have spoken to who have had it have all said it wasn’t that bad 😱

Morning Cathy

Many thanks - I have to say it was a bit of a shock (mixed with happiness) that it was not Glaucoma. I did ask whether it was related to Diabetes, they tell me not, its age, (I am 61), genetics, bad luck who knows. I am also not good with "eye things" but now I have had so much done, I am kinda getting used to it. Hopefully I will have it done in June/July and it will last for some time.🙂🙂

Glad it is not glaucoma. I have always dreaded the thought of having anything done to my eyes. I recall my friend's hubby having a detached retina and my friends laughing at me when I said "if I had an eye op they would have to blindfold me as \I am squeamish." Of course everyone naturally thought it was hilarious because how the hell are they going to do anything if you have a blindfold on!!!!!
