I first posted my story on the thread:
https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/threads/1st-post-diagnosis-test-today.117085/
Anyway, I had another HbA1C test yesterday, and it came back at 40. The last one was 44 three months ago, and I have never taken any drugs, so I guess that means I am officially in remission! The gloss is somewhat tarnished because my wife thinks I have become overly obsessed with my health and wants a divorce. Have doubled down on my exercise routine, and now walking ca. 20,000 steps per day, which is also helping me keep positive thoughts.
Many thanks to all those who have shared their inspirational stories, it really helps make things seem more possible.
