Remission!

I wasn't due to have my next HbA1c test until February, but a consultant added it to some blood test I had done last week, without me realising.
So I had my new results earlier than expected and it's 48! :D
I was expecting 50, hoping for 48, I'm chuffed to bits. I was diagnosed with 67 in October, so my current levels are bound to be even lower.
I just have to carry on as I'm doing now, and I think I'll give myself a 'day off' every now and again once I've reached a solid 3 months of low BG.
This forum has been a great help!

Impressive! Well done

My HbA1c was 51 when I got my results on Christmas Eve, next bloods are on Feb 6th so hoping I’ll have lowered mine to at least 48 if not lower doing Low Carb. No meds as yet 🙂

Good luck! I hope you get the result you want 🙂
I didn't think it would actually be possible to achieve remission, without either losing a lot of weight or following a very low carb/keto diet, so I'm absolutely delighted!

Delighted for you! Well done and keep up the good work!

well done you keep it up

Congrats and well done, but its not over, keep at it...... cheers

Well done you!

I was diagnosed with Type2 last august , my HbA1 results was 54 worked so hard for 3 months to get it down with no meds , in October it was 48 so i was happier , i was told that the circulation in my left foot isn’t great so i try to have a 10 min walk after each meal , take each day at a time and don’t be too hard on yourself if you have a treat now and then , as my Diabetes nurse said to me ( everything in moderation )
