Do any of you guys still eat a regular size chocolate bar I'm really fed up of looking for mini bars and spending a fortune :( x

No...can't be bothered. Couple of squares of 90%, with a coffee after luncj

Why not have the chocolate as afters and bolus it in your meal. As a type1 you can eat what you want within reason.
Please do note I am not having a go at you so please what ever you do don't think I am. My observation of your posts seem to indicate a theme of what you can't have, look at things in a different light as in all the things you can have 🙂

I agree with @Pumper_Sue I enjoyed a packet of crisps with my lunch today but I wouldn't have one between meals as it can lead to unpredictable results for me. You may be different, let your meter be your guide.

I eat regular size bars of chocolate often and with gusto, but I always eat them with a meal because I'm frankly too lazy and too brittle (diabetes wise not personality wise 😉) to inject between meals. I like the expensive stuff though I don't really like your standard chocolate bars except a Terry's chocolate orange bar obviously (who wouldn't!) so they tend to have less sugar in them by default (I really really like dark chocolate so I like my milk chocolate as dark as possible too). The not eating between meals for me is because I can't control the insulin action because I'm very sensitive. Take this afternoon, I thought a choccie biscuit was a good idea, so I injected half a unit for it (it was a tiny thing), was hypo before I got home from work. Essentially you just need to work out how to handle the insulin and then you can work from there 🙂 and then enjoy the chocolate. It's entirely your decision what you eat, as long as you're happy with the control you've got.

I know I can have everything I used to it's just the thought of planning it into a meal rather than the impulse feeling of wanting a chocolate bar, plus my meals usually take about 4 units a go so adding on another 3 or 4 just for a chocolate bar seems a bit well I don't know how to explain it lol x

Don't judge me, but my bag of crisps is going in with my breakfast tomorrow haha, lowest carb meal of the day you see 🙂 x

I haven't even seen a Terry's chocolate orange bar round here in ages I'd certainly grab one if I did haha, my real want just now is a dark chocolate bounty (yum) or a wee shop I go to regularly has the box of 3 wee wee galaxy caramel eggs read it earlier think it was around 22.3g carbs or something could really have gone one of them 🙂 x

I also agree with @Pumper_Sue. Whilst diabetes does change the way we deal with food, it just takes more planning, and insulin is so freeing really. I was not on insulin for 5 years, after my initial diagnosis, and I was so, so restricted as to what I could eat. Starting insulin opened up my world, food wise!
I tend to add any treats onto a meal, so I just bolus for that, instead of multiple boluses, and risking 'insulin stacking'. That said, I do have treats/snacks when I want them, but I am better at predicting what affect these will have on my BGs now. So it's all trial and error.
And in answer to your original question, yes I do eat full size chocolate bars. I had a Kinder Bueno (my personal favourite!) this evening when I got in from work 🙂

Oh and on Boxing Day I had 2 Buenos for breakfast. Yes I know this is not ideal, and I wouldn't advise anyone to do it. But it was Christmas, and that is my only defence :D🙄
