Hi, my name is Jane and I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for 7 years. I am insulin dependant and my control is not so good as it should be. I have been in hospital with complications and a good friend of mine advised me to register here to chat to like minded people. . . . .

Hi Jane, welcome to the forum 🙂 Very sorry to hear about your stay in hospital. As your friend has no doubt said, you will get lots of friendly support from many lovely people here, and hopefully we can all work together to help you with your control 🙂 Please ask any questions you may have - just because you have been diagnosed for a few years, you shouldn't feel that anything you want to ask is 'silly' or something you should know already - we are all learning day by day here, from each others experiences.

What insulin are you on, and are you able to test frequently? What advice have you been given by our healthcare team to try and improve your levels? I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂
