Hi,

What is considered a "good" reduction is Hb1Ac levels in 3 months between blood tests.
My last check was 73 (it had jumped as couldn't get hold of Victoza).
I've been started on a new med and have been actively monitoring my sugars and what affects them in my diet.
I was wondering if anyone knew what I should expect at my next Hb1Ac? Thanks

What sort of readings are you seeing?

Any reduction is good @hall

Some data suggest that knocking the same number of points off an HbA1c at 73 could offer a much greater reduction in risk than those same points off an A1c in the low 50s.

Have you seen improvements in your fingerstick BG checks?

It will vary between individuals depending on a number of factors, what medications, what dietary changes, stress, illness but any movement downwards should be taken as a positive and should guide you as to whether your need to step things up a bit.
