I've a Clinic appt in mid August, delayed from April, so I'll see what they propose when it gets a bit nearer. I saw last week that the hospital phlebotomy lab is open and have to attend that hospital for another delayed March or April appt with another department on the previous day anyway so at the beginning of July I'll be asking the D clinic if the day before will be OK for the blood tests and what they wish to do about downloading my pump handset - usually done along with BP and weight on the day. If they can do all that the day before, they could do tomorrow's appt by phone if they want. In fact, dunno if they can do the 'other' one by phone anyway which I haven't bothered to ask while everyone was acting like headless chickens in view of you know what, couldn't see much point in potentially wasting their time or mine!

I got a letter a couple of weeks ago saying that I would get a telephone appt. with the consultant sometime in Nov and sending me labels for a blood sample to be organised through my GP surgery. This was presumably to replace my cancelled appt from this month The following day I got a letter apologising for the cancellation of my appointment, when I hadn't even been given a date for it yet.... they really could have saved the cost of 2 stamps by not sending either letter.

Looking at those tables I am pleased to see that unless my Libre is telling serious porkies I am well in the green sector on all issues so I probably won't get a review until next year. It would be nice if I could get Libre on prescription before then but I don't feel the need to see the consultant with my current progress and I have you guys to fall back on if I do need help with anything, so I am not unhappy with that situation and I am sure there are lots of people who will need the consultant's help more than me.

My lot seem to be doing phone appointments. It will be interesting to see if they manage a remote pump start that I believe the manufacturers are trying to help with

We had daughter's 3 month check up by phone last week, they said they can get us into the hospital for pump training though so we are just waiting for the nurse to get in touch about that. (Our nurse was on hols last week so we had one of the others, ours will do the pump training though.). Have just had letter through about the next check up in September, and it's full of instructions about wearing face masks and social distancing so they are clearly expecting that one to be face to face!
