Volunteers who have donated blood more than 700 times between them have been recognised for helping to potentially save more than 2,000 lives.

If a donor has given blood 100 times, they have helped save the lives of up to 300 patients. Those who have donated 75 times could have aided 225 people.

Five Bradford donors received a crystal award for making 100 donations each ? a milestone which only one per cent of all blood donors reach ? at a ceremony held by NHS Blood and Transplant.
