I now have had the flu / cold bug for over a week and eating when possible is painful with pern stomach pains, cant even eat decent food, some how keeping level reasonable ok..Also collapsed a couple of times. The boss has had a go a couple of times, for not telling her whats happening. My fault really as not used to having someone around that wants to know when things are going wrong. Just wish things would go back to normal.

You sound as if you're really going through the grinder at the moment. All I can do is send you best wishes for a speedy recovery

I sympathise as I had similar thing got whole of January. Why are you at work though? I gave in and stayed in bed till I recovered.
Hope you are soon feeling better 🙂

Thankfully not at work and finally got up around 1:30, the boss is a very special friend and not used to diabetics and what to look for, some things I don't want to worry her about, but do need to keep her in the picture

It can be a difficult situation at work. My son failed to tell his workmates of his T1 diabetes and consequently when he had a hypo they summons an ambulance. Second time he was extremely ill with DKA they knew what was happening and fortunately they quickly got the ambulance and he was bluelighted into hospital and then intensive care. I thank god his workmates knew what to do.

Ah thought you meant work boss! Well take care and get well soon

Sorry you're still feeling rough pav ~ maybe you should ring your GP and have a word over the phone about your symptoms especially your stomach pains and more particularly your collapses. Better still, if you can't get out to see him ~ or speak with him on the telephone ~ then perhaps you should request a home visit? You can't carry on as you are. Think about it pav and do take care now.
