I've lost a lot of weight recently (6 stone in the last 10 months) and therefore my insulin requirements have changed dramatically. I'm trying very hard to get things right and don't seem to be having as many hypos as I used to but when I do have one, it's usually a big one!
Yesterday I 'lost' a couple of hours first thing in the morning, I know this because my husband and kids tell me that several things happened which I have no recollection of at all. This has happened to me before and isn't very nice. The thing that was different yesterday was that I also vomited whilst laying in bed, presumably not far off being unconscious, and although this brought me round a bit I still couldn't get up or sort myself out.
Has anyone else experienced this? I wondered if it was my body's way of bringing me round? When I finally realised what was happening and did my BS it was 1.1 and was presumably on its way back up by then! Then went on to have a rubbish day BS wise. Sometimes it's just hard work isn't it?
