Hi Everyone,

I'm about a year and a half after being diagnosed and I suddenly don't seem to need any insulin.

My insulin requirements were increasing and I ended up at just over double what I was using originally and then out of the blue I started having massive and frequent hypos.

It's now been about 2 weeks since I've taken any bolus or basal.

Is this a normal thing to happen?

I don't think ots normal. My requirements change up and down but i think a t1 not needing insulin for a bit, even in honeymoon, is unusual.
Last time someone posted something like this they had a faulty sensor are were actually really high. I take it you have double checked your levels with another device?
Could be your beta cells are rallying? I'd contact my clinic for advice.

@Jacen017 No, that’s not a usual thing. There are various medical conditions that can cause hypos, eg coeliac disease and Addisons. In your position, I’d speak to your hospital team asap, and see what they say. In the meantime, keep testing and watch out for ketones.

I'm with @Inka here, and when we say ASAP - we mean do it NOW! (Please)

Hello @Jacen017 ,

Just to follow up with everyone else, please speak to your healthcare team ASAP or NHS111.
