I wondered what people thought about these readings I had the other day after having a low carb cob from Lidl. I started with a starved reading of 5.1. Checked after 1 hr and it was 7.5 which I was a little horrified at but, after two years, it was back to 5.5.

Perfectly acceptable 🙂 Well done I hope you enjoyed it xx

Agreed. That is a good result. Lucky you! How much of it did you have? Was it the Lidl low GI granary cob .... I haven't seen a specific low carb loaf. I daren't buy it because I can't stop at just one slice, it is so gorgeous, and I would need to shoot myself up with insulin to cover it.

I only had the one. I did enjoy it so will have one from time to time. They are the brown seeded cobs and I got mine from the bakery counter.

When you say "cob" I tend to think of that as a round loaf about 8 inch (200cm) diameter..... I am guessing you are referring to a smaller bread bun sized version. Will have to check them out next time I am in Lidl. I have only seen the Low GI seeded granary cob loaf before.

2 years :D
Sounds good to me.

I noticed - but interpreted years as hours LOL

Lidl do not do a low carb bread.
They stopped producing their 10 gm of carb rolls some time ago now.
Are you confusing low GI with low carb? If so then you have a good tolerance for starchy carbs.

......Unless they reintroduced them!

Found Livilife seeded bread at Tesco. 3.8g per slice - but the slice is so small that you need strong glasses to see it!
Tastes quite good though, and toasts well.
