Unexplained lows with very different symptoms - on Tuesday morning at home felt 'off' so tested, 1.9, had jelly babies etc, but felt so sick had to go and lie down for half an hour, and felt 'yuck' for the rest of the day. I had reduced both basal and bolus because of the warm weather, and because I was intending to housework/garden.

Today, had usual units of basal/bolus at breakfast, as am sat at desk for work, just thought I would test before having a biscuit, 1.8.😱 the only 'symptom' of this hypo was lots of yawning, which I didn't twig onto, as I've only had that symptom once before! Didn't feel any difference otherwise, so went and washed hands and tested again - 2.1.

Not sure what my question is, just writing it down sometimes helps to clear my head. Stupid diabetes.

Sounds like they may have been very slow falls. I think that sometimes you can tend to miss subtle symptoms until things get very low and you realise you 'feel different'. I've had some like this and it's only when I do the test that the full Shakin' Stevens begins! 😱 I call them 'Schroedinger's Hypos' (as in Schroedinger's Cat!)

Looks like you may need to rethink your ratios radically for the unaccustomed rise in temperatures!

Yes, must need to lower ratios, so will be tweaking, especially as I've just tested again, nearly 3 hours after cat hypo🙂 and I'm only 3.9. At this rate, I'll be giving up insulin doses (I wish🙄)

It can happen! 🙂 I'm on precisely zero units of lantus currently, and vastly reduced novorapid from what used to be my 'norm'.

Just a thought, Casper...it looks like your hypo awareness might have lessened a bit, quite possible if your control is tight. Counter intuitive I know, but might be worth trying to run a bit higher for a week or two to 'reset' the level at which you get symptoms, especially if you drive / are often on your own etc?? Take care of yourself. Xx

I'd thought about that too, will defo keep a close eye on things, thanks.

I have some like this when I feel quite normal until I do the test, and then when it turns up low you suddenly feel awful, and then keep feeling awful until you retest and it says 6.0 and there's no reason to be shaking at all... 🙂
