If you were doing a second bolus for some extra carbs after a first or main bolus for a meal would you re test or would it depend on how long after the first bolus the second bolus was?

It would just depend on the extra carbs (and the time of day, since I need a bit more insulin morning and evening than middle of the day).

What are you planning to do with the information from the test? If the answer is nothing (eg you wouldn’t correct again because you’ve just eaten), then there’s no point doing it.

So just have the extra carbs and don't bother re testing?

Yes. What would be the purpose of the test if you did one? You can’t correct if it’s a test before pudding as you’ve just eaten your main meal

Agree - absolutely no point testing because you know you aren’t going to correct anyway. It's just a waste of a strip and a hole in your finger.
