I have a rash of raised bumps under one boob. As I suffer from horrendous anxiety I am spiralling badly. I read that Diabetics can get fungal rashes. Waiting to speak to GP as I still can't get a face to face. Has anyone else had this. Type 2 last hbc1a was 70 anxiety sends my sugar haywire

Last time I had a rash in a similar place it was shingles. As it was caught and treated quickly, this was only uncomfortable for about 10 days. This was completely unrelated to diabetes and I am small-chested so unlikely to get fungal infections there.

I definitely think it is important to talk to your GP as soon as possible.

A bra of sports top with a high cotton content, changed frequently, washed in hot water might help.
Wash the area often and pat dry, use a moisturiser or if it becomes red and angry an antiseptic cream or lotion.
Avoid tight clothing and man-made fibres.
I used to suffer similar rashes in hot weather and it did take some time to get rid of it.

Thanks for this, I will change bra to cotton. GP has prescribed some steroid cream. I'm 57 so it's time for comfort and boobs on knees

Aw, how uncomfortable @snowball12. I always try to buy cotton bras. I hope the cream does the trick - don’t trip over your boobs and hurt yourself! I have to roll mine up to get them into my bra these days.

I find sport tops quite supportive if I can find ones the right size - even dancing about is OK.
Drooping or being folded over or compressed skin to skin is to be avoided, I find.
You might find that the antifungal talcum powder used for athletes' foot helps if lesser treatments fail, though it should not be used of the skin is damaged or it will sting.

Thank you so much

Thanks for this, my GP is going to call me today. I have had shingles before but in a different place. Fingers crossed
What did the GP say? X

I get this problem from time to time. The GP prescribed some steroid cream that mostly works, but the rash returns. I will try to find a cotton bra (if I can find some, usually the price puts me off). Home today, so swinging free behind a floppy T shirt.
