Good Morning Everyone 🙂

After a recent DKA episode wasnt aware this was happening at the time. Im now on daily insulin injections rapid and long lasting. I lost a tonne of wait during the the year thought it was through my own efforts did a lot of lifestyle and eating changes turns out it a good chunk was from diabetes diagnosed as type 2 in summer suspected type 1 now being tested to hopefully confirm.

I was expecting to gain some weight back when starting insulin but ive gained roughly 5kG back so far varies abit.

Is this normal from people's experience? just abit concerned i don't want my weight to sky rocket again

Thanks 🙂

Yes, now that your body can use the food you eat properly, you’ll regain the weight quite quickly. You’ll probably gain a little extra too as your body thought it was starving and so builds up an extra as a defence. Your weight should then settle down over the next few months 🙂
