Wondering what others would do if you had eaten a meal but wanted to eat your next meal before the insulin duration (3 - 5 hrs) is over?

i would eat it, but would have to consider active insulin on board, which can be done manually or electronically with meters and pumps......

We would always cover all the carbs in the meal with insulin, as any insulin left "on board" from the previous meal is there to match up with the digesting carbs from that meal. If his BG was raised, we would only fully correct if it was more than 3 hours since the last meal. With the pump this is all worked out by the bolus wizard!
