I was listening to this on TalkSport last night..
It was based around Ethic's of animal experiments, was all animal experiments unethical and immoral, or was there a situation when it could be considered ethical such as medical research etc where it was Ethical..
One elderly lady phoned in...
Explaining about Banting and his dogs how much suffering those dogs have prevented for diabetics over the last 100 years or so..
She went on to explain that she herself has been diabetic for 53 years, and without him she would not be alive today!
Matt the presenter asked her how insulin had made the difference to her quality of life..
Her reply
Without insulin I wouldn't have been around to have 6 children, didn't hear how many grand-children she had, but she is due to be a great-grandma for the 31'st time later this year! and she was 83 years old!
What an awesome lady she is...
