R rate Johnson and recession

looks like the lockdown is beginning to work in some areas as the r rate is dropping. looks though we are heading for a double dip recession is it any wonder.

Johnson has been warned to look for a way out of the lockdowns or look for a new job by the very people who ousted Thatcher. guess some MP's are getting peeved like the public.

I saw that reported yesterday - but frankly BoJo if he has ANY sense whatsoever - will NOT be pressurised into saying the lockdown will end on any date and neither I nor my husband think that this stupid gang have any chance of succeeding of ousting him over that, in the current climate.

Yes, that's been the (plausible, I think) theory: let him take as much of the blame as possible for Brexit and COVID-19.

Also inclined to agree with you Sharren1. Even Sunak (who in my opinion is as bad as the rest of them) seems to have toned down his leadership bid now the real effects of the government's policies are showing up.
