Im smiling to myself so feel the need to share

So in october i was diagnosed T2 with a HBA1c of 61

Now 3 months later ive just had another blood test.........down to 48 which is apparently 'borderline'

Also managed to lose 1 1/2 stone by just cutting down and eating more healthily and trying to walk more

Mission going forward is to lose more and get that hba1c even lower!

Might not be as a big a change as i had hoped but its deffo in the right direction so im quite chuffed with myself especially as its only been 3 months

MIght go and buy some donuts to celebrate (Joke!!!!......i dont have a sweet tooth any more)

Great results with the weight loss and lowered hba1c @paultrose .
It's always good to hear the successes on the managing diabetes journey. My last HbA1c was similar to yours ( low 60s) but I am not so sure I will get to 48 at next review in Feb as I overindulged a bit over Christmas. Getting myself back on track again.

I am absolutely delighted for you and you have every right to be very pleased with yourself. It is a tremendous achievement! Well done!

Diabetes is a tough challenge for most people and the forum is here to provide support for people during the difficult times but also celebrate the successes and those successes are incredibly motivating for the people who are currently struggling and looking at the mountain in front of them that they have to climb, so posts like this can really give people hope and inspiration. Take an extra pat on the back for providing that inspiration to others.
