Hiya
I've just been taken off the meds to see if I can control my blood levels without any help.
My staple breakfast over the last few months has been a bowl of porridge/no added sugar soya (to help with my cholesterol) mixed with some red berries.
I start work at stupid hours and spend most of it sat on my bum driving so looking for some recommendations for a very quick and easy breakfast which isn't going to spike my bloods to much.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
cheers

I think fibre is probably the most important thing about porridge. You can get the fibre without the carbs by using chia or flax seeds instead - plus quite a lot more protein and healthy unsaturated fats.

Sometimes I have strawberries/blackberries/raspberries in soy milk with 30g of chia seeds added. They absorb moisture and swell up, giving a kind of gelatinous texture which you may or may not like. Easiest breakfast in the world - no need to grind the seeds.

Cheers
I'll give that a go
