Thank you XI haven't dropped dead from using a Reader instead of a phone, neither has Barbara (rebrascora) - if thems the rules, of your workplace, thems the rules.
Just tell the medics you are just complying with the employment requirements of your employer, so they can either like it or lump it.
When I was using Libre, I found the reader easier. As long as Inscanned my phone 3-4 times a day, I had the information in both places.Hi I work In a preschool which are strict on phone use but my consultant nurse and family don't understand that I can't use a phone I use a reader thru think I should have my p
Thank you I am yes I wear round my neck just a bit confused as though it automatically uploaded went to hospital but they couldn't see it xWhen I was using Libre, I found the reader easier. As long as Inscanned my phone 3-4 times a day, I had the information in both places.
Are you happy to just continue to use the reader?:
Do I have to scan it so it loads automatically to hospital xI still use the reader with my Libre 2. I had been uploading the data to Libreview via my ancient laptop, but it’s given up the ghost, so I now start the sensor on my reader, then start it on my phone, so it will automatically transfer the data to libreview provided I scan every 8 hours.
I must say, I now sometimes scan using the phone if that’s what's to hand, and it drives me round the bend because it quite often says 'failed to scan' and I have to have a second shot. So I much prefer using the reader.
If your hospital has access to your Libreview account, and you’re using a reader, you either have to upload on a laptop using the yellow USB cable, or you have to use a phone as a backup, and scan at least once every 8 hours, then the phone will send the info automatically to your Libreview account. The reader won’t send information to Libreview automatically.Do I have to scan it so it loads automatically to hospital x
Thank you this is really helpful xxIf your hospital has access to your Libreview account, and you’re using a reader, you either have to upload on a laptop using the yellow USB cable, or you have to use a phone as a backup, and scan at least once every 8 hours, then the phone will send the info automatically to your Libreview account. If you’re not using a reader, and using your phone to work as a full CGM, via bluetooth, (so you don’t have to scan it) the results upload automatically to Libreview, I believe.
Yes that was my strategy. So I could use the reader (which I preferred), but just a few scans a day (first thing, lunch, evening meal, and bedtime were my habit), and kept my Libreview account topped up 🙂you have to use a phone as a backup, and scan at least once every 8 hours, then the phone will send the info automatically to your Libreview account.
