I've just received a copy of my first ever HBA1c result. it says HBA1c 50mmol/m. I've noticed everyone on here refers to percentages. how do I convert this to a percentage figure?

Hi there, If you click on th HbA1c button on the very top of the page here it takes you to Diabetes UK's own conversion chart. I've just tried to do that for you but it only seems to convert the othr way round. i.e. from % to mmol. I can tell you though that 50mmol is 6.7%, same as mine. So well done you! 🙂 XXXXX

That's great news Emmandelo 🙂 They were supposed to stop using the percentages a while ago, but it's only now that they are starting to give a number instead it seems. I've only ever been given a percentage, even though my last one was at the beginning of June - it's hard for the doctors and nurses to get used to too!
