A BRAVE schoolgirl who lives with diabetes spoke in Parliament this week about her experiences with the disease.
Harriet-Rose Mackenzie, 8 , has to have regular insulin injections every day for her type 1 diabetes as well as multiple finger-prick blood tests.
Earlier this month the Selsted Primary pupil joined about 60 other adults and children with type 1 in a march over Westminster Bridge on the issue of research funding.
Type 1 Parliament was organised by diabetes charity JDRF.
Mum Jennifer also has the disease and joined her daughter in Parliament on the day.
She said: "It was amazing, Harriet-Rose did so well.
