Hi All

Silly question i keep seeing everyone writing about pumps and have no idea what they are or do. can some one enlightenme please.

Hi Stu, if you were American you'd probably be wondering what all these injections were about, as pumps are very common there but fairly rare here. They deliver gradual insulin through the day and 'boosts' for meals - a bit like an artificial pancreas, but not quite there yet.

I just literally got a pump. I have started a thread and put a link to some pics of it in there. Saves reading the droooool, just look at the pics! In complete laymans terms, it is a device to give yourself insulin using a continuous infusion.
