could I ask for some help on how to change from my pump to pens for my holiday next month I know I should know how but luckily have never needed to since being in my pump, I know lots do it so hoping can get advice on how to thanks

I've never wanted to swap back - only have a pen of each 'in case' and only ever had to use the Novorapid one a couple of times after I broke my kneecap in 2017 - never dreamt of swapping back for a holiday. I don't immediately know why you want to, either.

I'd have to talk to one of my clinic DSNs about how to approach it if I needed to, because although I still have more or less the same bolus ratio - I now need near enough half the basal I was used to on Levemir - and that took over 6 months to adjust doses and timings to get sorted well enough to suit me. It was never exactly right - just liveable with.

Purely because some of the activities worried will get my cabling caught and ripped out lol only for just over two weeks then back to pump

Well - I guess I'd have to change a few weeks before the holiday so I could get the doses and timings sorted out OK before I started engaging in unusual for me activity. I daresay you'll need to react pdq if some of the activity has unforeseen effects on your BG - eg if you go hypo - can't just turn your basal down to zero for a bit.

Depending of course on what you'll be doing, can you not eg loop the tubing up a bit and anchor it to eg your abdomen with micropore tape?

It can be tricky getting the doses correct when moving back to pens. You really need to speak to your dsn about dose advice. I have sewn pockets into strappy vests to house pump and tubing. Is this an option? Or the hide-in multiway body band.
