Hi, my daughter has type1 diabetes for 4 years and been on a pump for that long, she is now 16, she has found the pump brilliant apart from one thing, when she puts the infusion in it starts to itch until she takes it out again this has caused her to have scars on her legs, she is to frightened to put it in her stomach. Please help any advice welcome

Hi, sorry your daughter is having a few problems.
To stop the itch ask her GP to prescribe some cavilon spray. This is a barrier and so stops the itch.
That's if it's the sticky causing the itch.
If it's the cannula it's self then she needs try another cannula type.
