....fantastic!.....well done you! 🙂

yey, well done! 🙂 🙂

Hello. Did you go to a pump clinic? I went to one last month and got on really well. Maybe we attended the same one as I haven't heard much about pump clinics. Please pm me with where your clinic is.

Great news Amanda! Congratulations 🙂

Yay that's brilliant, congratulations Amanda xxx

Hi everyone thank you for your lovely messages I am still grinning:D. Spiritfree I have pm'd you🙂

Everyone with a pump goes to a pump clinic, surely? LOL One at every hospital that does pumps. There's one a month at our little one, though of course if you have a prob or they need to see you - they'll fit you in wherever.

Hi Spirit Free and Trophywench I'm in Northampton and we won't be getting a pump clinic until next April. At the moment all of the pump training and support is provided by lovely R&D nurses. If they're not available then we can speak to a DSN but the DSNs won't have responsibility for pumps until April when the consultant will have a weekly pump clinic

They've only just started doing pump clinics separately at my hospital too, you used to just see the same team in thr same clinic. There's a terribly cynical part of me which suspects they just don't want pumpers looking happy getting everyone else wanting a pump! 🙄:D

The pump clinic which I attended a few weeks ago, was the first one I've been to since starting on a pump five years ago. I have seen the diabetic specialist every six months, for usual hb1ac test results. My next pump clinic is in six months.
