I now have a provisional date for getting a pump - 7 Feb 🙂
However, I'm going away to Norway just two weeks later with all the challenges that brings - carb counting with unfamiliar food, ensuring I have all the supplies I need plus a little extra challenge of preventing the insulin from getting too cold while out and about (I have a Frio for my pens but guess i'd need something for the pump?) From what I've read, a pump takes a fair bit of work initially to get things set up the way I'll need them so I'm wondering if it is wise to start on the pump then go away two weeks later while I'm still getting used to it?
Any thoughts?
