I'm guessing both will be high carb which puts my home made broth out of bounds, I buy them from a grain store so no info on the bags

Well they are high carb and there's no disguising that - but it all depends on how much of em you eat at a time, exactly the same as all other carbs, doesn't it?

Just Google 'nutritional info for ….' whatever type of lentils, peas or beans it happens to be. You can always make the broth a bit thinner by adding more liquid, can't you?

Dried peas = loads of fibre, great protein & lots of micronutrients. Pity if you find you have to cut back too much on this kind of thing.

I find that I can eat runner beans and garden peas in small amounts - but they seem to spike me higher than I'd expect for the weight eaten. I avoid other legumes - but I would advise adding just a small amount of any remaining supply and see how they affect you - we are all different.
