The trouble is that most people get their information from tabloids; me, I stopped believing what I read in tabloids when some of them started claiming that amusement rides are death-traps that kill or injure thousands annually. 😱 (And never mind that if they were a fraction that dangerous, nobody would ride them; or that the journalists involved usually know so little of the amusement industry that they don't even know the difference between a funfair and an amusement park -- which is hardly rocket science; a fair travels, a park stays put.)

donna i totally understand never had a sweet tooth either ...

....i was warned about weight (12 stone and 5ft 31/2 in my early 40's..so upped my 'healthy lifestyle' loads of fruit and fruit juices ... always home cooked fresh veg meat spuds ...good quality 'organic' breakfast cereals bread rice pasta etc...etc etc ...i was dx when i was 45...

as i have mentioned before ...i think i was prone for many years before dx....i was first tested at 16years ...then in my 20's ..then whilst pregnant in my late 20's ..then dx at age of 45yrs ...i have always been a little over weight ...but have an older sister who was a size 8 so in comparasion have alawys been'large'
