Problems sourcing Sanofi compatible reusable pens

I was diagnosed with T2D a few weeks ago; then re-diagnosed recently as LADA.

I have been put on a basal insulin regime - Lantus insulin. However, I have had trouble sourcing a suitable reusable injection pen. My local Boots has so far had over 10 days to provide the Allstar Pro pen prescribed. They also cannot provide an alternative compatible pen from a different manufacturer (Autopen 24). Has anyone else encountered similar issues?

I did manage to get a pen from my diabetes nurse a couple of days ago and so have started my dosage regime.

Update: I have just found out that Pharmacy2U have the pens in stock and so have ordered a couple.

I had the same issue and ended up buying my own from Dock Pharmacy online.
I wish the different manufacturers would just cooperate and make all the cartridges compatible with the Novopen or something.

Allstar pen is rubbish anyway, the junior star pens are much better.
