has anyone else had problems getting their mobile to read cassette lot number 278318. I've tried 3 machines and none work?

Hi Melanie, have you phoned customer support? I don't use a mobile myself, but Roche are usually pretty good at replacing faulty goods 🙂

Might not be cartridge error - it could you just need to give the lens inside a bit of a wipe clean. I'd still call AccChek though - their customer support is actually pretty good and they give away meters like sweets.

I've just got a mobile and can't get the thing to do anything useful, it keeps saying there's not enough blood or reading 4 points higher than my other three meters, it's a different lot number on the cartridge though 2783104. Not rung them yet because I'm still getting over the panic from the ludicrous reading it gave me an hour ago. Think I'm sticking to my bayer meters!

I use the mobile and my first meter kept giving me that message. They exchanged it and gave extra info on doing test. I can't recall that at the moment but - you need quite a big blob of blood and I make sure I cover the width of the strip from edge to edge. This normally gives me a reading slightly different to the SD codefree which I also use and fund myself because doctor won't supply enough cassettes to cover my needs. Customer service is very helpful.

Thanks Bessiemay I managed to get it to read again yesterday but it was still significantly higher. The day before last it was very close to my other meters so I think it may have an issue, I'll give them a ring today 🙂

looks like I should go for the SD Codefree then! Despite my d eye-check report in Sep saying I have the early signs of retinopathy my gp dismissed my suggestion of monitoring (even though the letter said it was important to do so) The unspoken message was that I could become paranoid at monitoring and whilst I am not any medication it was ok to just rely on the 6 monthly blood tests. I know you've heard it all before but it's hard to be assertive when it feels iike the medics think you're being silly! So as suggested many time on these boards I will buy my own then take the evidence in. How can I monitor my BSL when I have no idea what it is? GRRRRRRRR!!!
