So this has been a weird year, multiple illnesses finally sorted out with open heart surgery. I've had 4 A1C readings this year latest one last week.

36
37
44
30

So the 44 may have been simply me eating too many biscuits or something to do with illness. Anyway, for the moment it seems ok. The last two months i've learnt a huge amount about glucose which before i knew absolutely nothing. I will probably keep lurking around to help keep an eye on the glucose.

Thanks for all the encouragement and usefull info 🙂

Is it reasonable to assume that you have made some dietary/lifestyle changes in the last 2 months since the 44?
If so, I am guessing you have turned back the tide big style!

Many congratulations on a really excellent result!

I was only told about the 44 result at the end of Sept, i did of course panic, rushed out to get a CGM and started changing a few things, mostly cut out all the ice cream and biscuits (i was eating a lot in august), swapped out weetabix for something less spiky and cut out carbs in the evening. The other main change was i can now do some excercise which i couldn't do for the rest of the year, muscles had got weak and deteriorated.

That's amazing, well and truly nipped that in the bud! Well done!

Congratulations on the reduced HbA1c @SilverShaded

Great to see the changes you made were so effective 🙂
