(Although the article is headed 'Perstwick', which I don't think is a real place! I also notice that it's dated October 7th, so looking into the future here...🙂)

JANET Rae had only just started walking when doctors delivered the horror news. As a tot, she had contracted type 1 diabetes, and medics feared the very worst. It was 80 years ago when technology and treatments are not what they are now ? and Janet?s future was grim. She explained: ?My mum, Jenny, was told to take me home and enjoy what little time we had left together.

Prestwick, the town, is a seaside town on the west coast and is the home of Glasgows 2nd international airport.

I bet the locals are none too happy at seeing their town name spelled like that in a headline!
 
Bless her she is a canny age ! Have jetskied at Ayr (very near lots of boats) 🙂
