Hello and thankyou for the welcome
I'm 62 and overweight with pre diabetes
Hoping to reverse it although there's a strong family history so all help gratefully received

Welcome to the forum @Binimcx

Glad you have joined us. Hope the support, suggestions and encouragement from the friendly folks here help you to get to grips with your risk of diabetes.

Forum members here have used a variety of strategies when aiming for weight loss. What seems most important is to find something which suits you and your particular metabolism, and your BG levels.

Lots of members find a moderate or low carb approach helps, while others have used a weight loss programme (eg Slimming World or Weight Watchers), while others have opted for a very low calorie ‘Newcastle’ style approach.

As you are still at risk of diabetes, rather than having had a full diabetes diagnosis, it may be that just a modest reduction in your total carbohydrate content might be enough to turn things around.

Good luck, and let us know how things go 🙂
