Had a blood test last week, same result 42, have been prediabetic for about 6 years. Unfortunately I'm unable to go to my gym as I've got a problem with my sacroiliac - waiting for results x-ray/MRI scan. Having difficulty in walking.
Sorry to year about your difficulties with mobility @Tilly6364
Well done for keeping your HbA1c stable, and just at the bottom edge of the at risk zone. Have you reduced your total carbohyrate intake much since you’ve been alerted to your diabetes risk. Alongside the obvious things like cakes, biscuits, sweets and sugary drinks that you probably cut out straight away, you might be surprised how much *all* carbohydrate affects your BG levels, including rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, pastry, grains, cereals and many fruits.
A modest reduction in portion sizes might gently steer your HbA1c a little lower?
