Welcome to the forum. A diagnosis of prediabetes indicates that your system is struggling to cope with the amount of carbohydrates you are eating and is a warning that unless you make some life style changes such as reducing your intake of high carb foods and trying to get more exercise if you can could easily go up to cross that threshold to diabetic.Just been diagnosed with prediabetes completely new to me
There are plenty of foods you can eat, it is just the high carb foods that you need to be careful of your portions. Basing meals on meat, fish, eggs, cheese, dairy with plenty of vegetables and salads and fruit like berries with only small portions of any high carb foods and cutting out cakes, biscuits and sugary drinks including fruit juice will still give you options for tasty meals.Thank you that is most helpful I had my health check on the eighth I have been exercising morning and evening and eating salads healthy food ever since I must get this week down now
Watch out for that label of 'healthy' - it can mean a lot of things which are not good for diabetics, raising your blood glucose and HbA1c.Thank you I will adopt completely healthy eating plan I already have I will book another test for three months time
