Getting the right PPE to the right place at the right time is very difficult when the first thing you have to do is to put together a distribution system and the second thing you have to do is to source supplies in a disjointed world. I am sure those at the top understand this, I just wish they would have the confidence to express it rather than come out with all that PR guff.

The supply of PPE from manufacturers has been ordered by the government to go to English care homes and hospitals only. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are excluded from being supplied.

UK government? ********. English government. Couldn’t care less about Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. As long as England is well supplied, that can be announced at press conferences. Sod the rest.

Actually I must correct my last post. Scotland has an adequate supply of PPE, but you won’t hear that from any English government spokesman.
