Potential relationship between SARS-Cov-2 and Type 1 Diabetes

It is also well known that viruses can be a trigger for the onset of Type 1, possibly because they agitate the immune system into high alert. It also seems quite reasonable that there are similarities between the beta cells and the virus which causes the immune system to kill the beta cells too.
