hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while...mainly because I have been a very bad diabetic, haven't been taking care of my diet, resulting in higher Bs readings.
I have been waking up in the high 7's, have lost the 6's I had been achieving. Over xmas, I have regularly been over 10, and not taking insulin as I should. I know it's the long term I should be worried about, but right now, I am happily eating whatever I want.
In the New Year, I plan to be the good person i was before, not eating all the junk I should be avoiding, and losing weight. This was my first xmas after dx, so i was expecting it to be bad...

For those of you who remember, I had a ultra-sound scan of my gallbladder. This came back negative, so I then went for a CT Scan, still nothing shows up, but they are concerned about my Liver. The GP hasn't said what exactly, but I am to have a biopsy ;( This word scares the hell out of me, especially as my pain is pretty much constant right now, and i am living on codeine.
This coupled along with struggling to keep my BS down, leaves me feeling pretty rubbish about myself.

Anyway, hope you all had a good xmas, and I wish you all the best for the new year.
My resolution is to contribute more on here, in the hope it will kick my butt back into being a good person!!!

Hi Doddy, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you have been having, but it is good to hear that you plan to get back on track! You've already proven that you can do it, and you know the benefits that good control can bring, so I hope you can start the New Year afresh and full of determination to succeed - we'll be behind you all the way! 🙂

I hope that you can get the pain problem resolved soon, and that any treatment is straightforward if required. Stay positive - you can do it! 🙂

It's good to see you posting again. I hope that they find that the pain is caused by something that can be easily treated and that you have a great 2013🙂
