We went off to eat Christmas dinner with family - there were roast parsnips, carrots cauliflower mushrooms courgette and some other things I might have missed, plus I had made some Yorkshire puddings - the mixture had thee eggs 1 and 1/2 cups (US) of bread flour, and 3/4 of a (UK) pint of full fat milk. I have used cream and water in the past, but I was in a rush and the milk was closest - made 12 small puddings, very lightweight and I intended to have just two - which didn't happen, far too good to have just two.
There was turkey in there too, and gravy.
Also on the menu was sugar free jelly and gelatine set fruit pulp with extra thick cream.
when we got back I thought I'd better check to see just how high my BG had risen.
It was more like 3 hours since we'd eaten, but it was 5.6mmol/l.
I thought my meter has to be broken or something wrong - but I put it away in a state of amazement. It seems to be working alright today, so I think that it was correct.
