Poetic rant...

Rubbish end to a rubbish day,
Diabetes stop making me feel this way!

First 2 days of work is lost,
Now your pain on my mind is forever embossed.
These highs are controlling my life,
I wish I could cut you away with a knife!

It seemed there was a glimmer of hope
But now we're back on this slippery slope.
Lantus at night looked like a solution,
Yet now my body feels riddled with pollution

Just one day is all I ask for
Of not feeling like you and my body are at war.
Just one day of good control
Might make me stop falling into this black hole

I'm going to do my lantus right now,
So please stop my sugars making me into a moody cow
I'm going to bed to sleep away the tears
Let me wake in the morning without any fears

Diabetes please give me a break,
Not much more of this can I take!!!

I feel this way this morning.

Went to bed on bloods of 10, still had some active insulin in my system.
Was 10.4 at 4am

And now I'm 15.4

I hate it, I want a body that works
